The man of standard, Isaac Carree, follows the success of his 2011 solo debut record "Uncommon Man" with his sophomore release, “Reset”. With “Reset”, Isaac takes it up several levels and delivers a project that allows him to morph into an artist that is able to create a solid work of music featuring all the facets of who he is today. “Reset” is laced with cameos from R&B veterans, R. Kelly and Joe, Holy Hip Hop dynamo Lecrae and Carree’s gospel contemporaries: Neka Brown, James Fortune, Kirk Franklin, Le'Andria Johnson, Kevin Lemmons and Higher Calling, Kierra Sheard, and Twyse. Every cut resets from where the one before left off; exposing another nuance of the skill Issac Carree has honed as a member of John P Kee’s V.I.P. Mass Choir, Men of Standard and later as a solo artist. The premier single, “Clean This House” finds us wondering exactly who we are listening to and Carree sounds a lot like R. Kelly. Just listen to the remix of “Clean...” You can barely tell which is singing when. However this does not at all detract from Isaac Carree as a vocalist. He delivers the R&B tinged ballad with dexterity and clarity.
“Reset” features the bulk of the writing credit from the pens of Eric Dawkins(who has worked Avant, Keke Wyatt, Kierra Sheard,Joe,Quincy Jones and as a part of the duo Dawkins and Dawkins) Phil Cornish (who has worked with Bishop Paul S. Morton, Raheem Devaughn, and Musiq(Soulchild) Ronnie Jackson and Isaac Carree. The finer points of “Reset” can be heard as the listener moves further into the 15 cut recording.
Here are some highlights of the standout cuts from “Reset”
“Paradise” is a ballad that talks about what Heaven will be like. The chorus says, “No more tears and no more pain. I wanna hear him say “well done” when He calls my name”
“But God” pairs Carree with James Fortune. The mid tempo inspirational tune boasts a little R&B swagger that reminds the listener how they almost seemed to lose out “but God” brought them out.
“Blessin’ In the Lesson” pairs Caree with Sunday Best winner Leandria Johnson The song is part testimony from both Carree and Johnson that turns to straight church at the end.
“Reset” everything you thought you knew about Isaac Carree and listen from beginning to end. Get it! Love it! Live it!

Daryl Coley has an inimitable tenor voice that is an inspiration and a treasure to the gospel community. Because of various health challenges; “Uncle Daryl” (as some in the industry call him) has been absent from public appearances and has not recorded since 2000 with “Oh The Lamb”. To the delight of fans the world over; Daryl Coley is featured on a “new” recording, Daryl Coley & Friends At the Church (Soundtrack) The project is the soundtrack for the motion picture, Church: The Movie released in 2010. The movie is about a loyal congregation of a small town church that bands together to save their house of worship during a devastating financial crisis stars: Darius McCrary, Joseph C. Phillips, Sam Sarpong, and Daryl Coley.
While Daryl Coley & Friends At the Church (Soundtrack) does not include entirely new music; this marks the debut of the soundtrack’s release. ....At the Church opens with the rousing praise anthem, “Devotion” which features Coley along with Nicoe Potts and Blanche Mcallister-Dykes. The song is straight church for the entire 3 minutes and 48 seconds and is one of the high points of ....At the Church. “Come Home”, the lead single for the project, pairs Coley and Mcallister-Dykes (who also appears in the film) “Come Home” is beautifully arranged that ushers the listener to go back to the arms of Jesus who is waiting patiently for his child to return the safety of home. Another favorite is “There’s None” which features Mcallister- Dykes and Daryl Coley.
Daryl Coley & Friends At the Church (Soundtrack) features contributions from Darius McCrary, Dionne Gipson, Stanton Lewis, Nicoe Potts, Hannah Miller, Dr. Claybon Lea, Jr., Fe Fea White, and Simply Dre.
....At the Church may be the precedent for a new recording of all new Daryl Coley music. In an interview with *examiner.com in 2012, Daryl sounded hopeful, “I'm doing quite well,” he says. “God has promised that he'll restore me and he has been doing that. And even though I've lost my eyes as far as sight is concerned, I'm doing fine, I'm doing great.” He says, laughing, “I don't know, I guess there's still a place for me to sing.”
